A founding member of Compass Hawai’i, and ranked amongst the top Maui agents, Christopher Barca counts decades of real estate experience on Maui—his home of 25+ years. A former location manager for film and commercial agencies, he’s gained an unprecedented level of access and intimate market knowledge of the island, much to the benefit of his clients. He also brings his specialized eye for design and architecture to his work—he was educated at Manhattan’s School of Visual Arts and University of Hawai’i. His ability to bring out the beauty in the homes he represents is one of his well-honed skills, as well as his ability to instantly recognize the potential in a house, investment property or commercial venture. He’s laid-back, but always all-in: Passionate about marketing presentations, dedicated to assisting and educating his clients throughout a transaction—whether they’re first-timers or seasoned investors—and committed to their success for the long term. And no matter the challenge, his signature dry wit can be counted on to carry the day. Primarily serving Maui while frequently conducting business on the Big Island, Chris is a natural connector with equally deep contacts among the business community as the design community. His wife, the watercolor artist Sarah Voyer, has her own shop in Pa’ia, and the creative-minded real estate team he leads counts interior designers, stagers and jewelry designers among its ranks. He and his team fuse together a distinctive mix of professional yet easy-going personalities, bolstered by a wide network of like-minded, hand-selected contractors, contacts and colleagues. Away from the office, Chris is most often found with his wife and two young children, fishing poles and a Kurt Vonnegut novel.
